This is the day we were waiting for a year. We are going to attend the Toy Fair. If you never have been there it will be a once in a lifetime experience. 2800 manufacturers will display their items. The train exhibition hall alone will take you two days to see everything. Every manufacturer will have layouts, dioramas and displays in abundance. You will feel like a kid in the candy store. Today we will tour Buda and Pest. Some of the highlights are Castle Hill, a fascinating area, the most picturesque and peaceful spot in Budapest; the Hungarian National Museum, the Houses of Parliament and the Royal Palace. If we have enough time maybe we can reach Buda Hills, which will give us a great view over the city. In the evening we will have a dinner at a typical Hungarian restaurant. Märklin Factory and Octoberfest Tour 2005. We were invited by Märklin, Germany for a factory tour. We visited Nördlingen, Stuttgart , Ludwigsburg , Munich , Lake Constanz , Geislingen and Ulm. Here is an excerpt of the tour...
We take a train to Lindau ( Lake Constanz ). The old part of Lindau is situated on an island, so the train has to go over a bridge to get there. Lake Constanz borders Germany , Austria and Switzerland . After touring the town we will board a ship, which will bring us to Bregenz in Austria . After a short walk we take the funicular to the Pfänder. Over 3000 feet high we will have a fabulous panorama overlooking the lake and the Alps. To read more about this tour Click Here
