The Class 50 Steam Locomotive features a DCC interface, can motor with flywheel, all metal frame, bi-directional prototypical lighting and all wheel drive. Model has extensive detail and great running performance. Modified form of the well-known Roco class 50 with realistically modified cable layout on boiler, closed ashbox and newly designed oil tender.
Prototype: In the mid-Sixties the DR had 72 class 50.35 locomotives equipped with reconstructed boilers converted to primary oil firing. They were intially given the new series designation 50.50; when numbers appropriate for EDP were introduced, it changed to class 50.00.
