Prototype: The BR98 was built by Hartmann Locomotive works from 1910 to 1918. A total of 18 locomotives were built, they were used for both freight and passenger service. The BR 98 ran until 1968 before they were taken out of service. Today one locomotive still exsists in Dredens Transportation Museum.
Model: Exquisite new model from Gützold, model has four functional pistons which are positioned back to back. It features a five pole can motor with flywheel, all metal construction, LED lights, 8 pin DCC interface and extensive detail. This model runs extemlely smooth and the detail is very impresive, it would make a nice addition to any collection.
