After German reunification, the locomotives in the first 232 series were painted in various shades of blue. These colours had never been used on locomotives before by DB. However, only this locomotive was painted in blue. As a result, the 237 304-7 is the "blue Mauritius" of the Deutsche Bahn AG's locomotive fleet.
