French Super Pacific
In 1936 the French railroad company NORD made tests in wind tunnels to find out where the best areas would be on a locomotive to streamline it. The result was a streamlined shrouding on the Super Pacific Nord # 1100. They hoped to reach higher speeds, and reached 120km/h. However, the streamlining was not very successful because it created problems with maintenance. In 1938 they painted the locomotive in a special blue color when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth came for a visit to France.
This model is all handmade brass and is very limited!
